Woven Portraiture.

I was captivated by the curious juxtaposition between the vivid colors and intricate detailing in the fabrics of the people of Upper Egypt, and the simplicity of their raw environment. In this series, I blended their portraits with their unique fabrics which, to me, are choices that beautifully embody the depth of their artistic self-expression.
